Sportsbet Australia have released their ‘catching the worm’ weekly segment and this week they focus on Tomorrow’s racing at Rosehill including the Silver Slipper Stakes where Satin Shoes and Straight Gold are all the rage and the Hobartville Stakes.

At Rosehill there are three Group races, the first is the Group Two Silver Slipper Stakes (Race 5). It’s a two horse race between Satin Shoes and Straight Gold with the winner likely to be installed as favourite for the Golden Slipper. While Straight Gold won with ridiculous east at Canterbury and the Hawkes camp are flying former golden boy Darren Beadman down from “Honkersâ€, our traders have opted for Satin Shoes. Word from the mounting yard last start was she still has some improvement in her and if she has come on then “get onâ€. They look to be better than the rest although Elite Falls was competitive behind Satin Shoes and Peter Snowden might get Aerobatics to do some tricks so they are the best hope for the placings.

Hobartville Stakes:
Most of the fancied runners in the Hobartville Stakes (Race 6) are coming out of the Royal Sovereign Stakes except for our traders tip Somepin Anypin. He has drawn out wide but without a lot of speed in the race will get across and have too much in hand come the final furlong. Biggest danger will be Skilled who was sensational finishing hard first up but from barrier 13 will have to repeat the effort. If he can, he can win. Ilovethiscity will strip fitter and 1400 looks ideal for him, he will be in the placings. It’s absolutely “D Day†for Pressday. If he doesn’t perform then his future will have to be reassessed. Masquerader is masquerading as a good horse and is a definite lay. The nose roll goes on but he is “on the noseâ€. Skilled’s stablemate Retrieve will be aiming for the Derby but our traders expect a big run fresh while Audacious Spirit will continue to be audacious and can run the drum again.

Millie Fox Stakes:
The final race is the Group Three Millie Fox Stakes and is an official “raffle†where punters will have to go wider than Richie Callandar’s belt in the quaddie. Anyone of six or eight can win but Jersey Lily represents the best value at double figure odds. She had no luck first up and has drawn much better this week. A repeat performance of her Flemington run in the Spring will be good enough to win this. Graceful Anna was second to More Joyous which is great form but our traders think that will make her a false favourite. Dances On Waves is a big threat. Freshened up by winning a trial and all she does is win first up. Marquadt won the race last year with 1.5 kilos more but needs the sting out of the track likewise for Montana Flyer while Sacred Choice is a lay. She just has to carry too much weight.

Fireball Quality Handicap:
There will be early interest in Race two with Black Caviar’s full brother Moshe making the trip up from Melbourne. He is undefeated in two starts but this is a long way from his maiden win at Bendigo. In a small field he will be under pressure to perform against a class horse like Decision Time and a listed place-getter Celts. Of these two Celts is the danger given Decision Time gives both a whopping 7.5 kilos. Be wary Moshe doesn’t fall into the “pitâ€.
